From 19 to 23 September 2026, Herberia presents The Art of Making - Meeting Point of Creativity, an event dedicated to design and the culture of making, set within the Ferruccio Lamborghini Museum, together with Bongio and Zehnder.
A meeting place created to bring together different worlds and areas of expertise through a shared language of material, technique, creativity and design.
The Art of Making: the culture of making
Before a product takes shape, there is an idea. Every project begins with a vision, a deep understanding of materials and the ability to transform them through experience, research and innovation.
Ceramics, metal, water and heat belong to different worlds, yet they find common ground in design. With The Art of Making, we want to explore this process and celebrate a culture of making where technical expertise and creativity come together.
Herberia, Bongio and Zehnder will bring different materials, products and experiences to the event, creating a journey in which surfaces, water and comfort interact within a contemporary vision of space.
The Ferruccio Lamborghini Museum: a story of vision and innovation
The choice of the Ferruccio Lamborghini Museum is an integral part of the project. It is a place that tells an extraordinary entrepreneurial story and shares some of the fundamental values behind The Art of Making: a strong connection with the local area, the culture of making, the ability to innovate, and the capacity to transform technique and material into something distinctive.
More than simply a venue, it is a space where stories, ideas and expertise can come together.
Art, material and design: Laura Piacquadio's performance
On Monday 21 and Tuesday 22 September, The Art of Making will host a performance by Laura Piacquadio, an artist and interior decorator who has been working across art, decoration and design for around thirty years, with projects in Italy, Europe and the United States.
Her work is based on a clear vision: painting is not a decorative element to be added to a space afterwards, but an integral part of the architectural project, capable of creating connections between surfaces, materials, furnishings and different forms of expression.
The performance will offer an opportunity to experience the artistic gesture as it unfolds and toexplore how colour, material and mark-making can contribute to shaping a space. The narrative will also be complemented by textile elements from Laura's new collection, suggesting new connections between painting, textile art and interior design. An interpretation that fully embodies the spirit of The Art of Making: different disciplines and materials coming together and finding a shared language through design.
