# Porfido. The strength of stone, designed for outdoor spaces
By Herberia
Some materials do not fear time.
**Porfido** is one of them: a stone that has always symbolized strength, capable of withstanding the seasons and defining the character of outdoor spaces with authenticity and precision.
The **Porfido collection by Herberia** is rooted in this material heritage and faithfully translates it into **porcelain stoneware**, transforming a natural surface into a contemporary design solution.
A balance between strength and precision, between aesthetics and performance, where material becomes architecture.
#### **A surface that expresses the essence of material**
Inspired by the texture of natural porphyry, the collection delivers a surface rich in **chromatic variation, microstructures and mineral markings**, evoking the solidity of stone while maintaining a refined and contemporary aesthetic.
The result is a flooring solution that:
- defines space with character
- interacts with natural elements such as wood, metal and greenery
- integrates seamlessly into residential and outdoor architectural settings
A surface designed to last and to tell a story, without excess, with an authentic sense of beauty.
#### **Engineered for outdoor use, without compromise**
Porfido is specifically developed for **high-performance outdoor applications**.
The collection is available in a **single 60×120 cm size with a 20 mm thickness**, a deliberate choice that ensures structural strength and design consistency.
The **Grip R11 surface** guarantees **slip resistance**, making it ideal for:
- terraces
- walkways
- relaxation areas
- hospitality spaces, both residential and commercial
The **2 cm thickness** allows for multiple installation systems:
- on screed
- on gravel
- on raised supports
This versatility makes Porfido a complete solution for contemporary outdoor design.
#### **Visual continuity, design freedom**
Porfido is not just a technical surface: it is an element that creates continuity between architecture and landscape.
The large **60×120 format** allows:
- reduced joints and an enhanced perception of space
- clean, consistent surfaces
- outdoor environments defined by an essential architectural language
Perfect for projects where the exterior becomes a natural extension of the interior, Porfido integrates effortlessly into contemporary, minimal or material-driven contexts.
#### **Stone Lab: the authenticity of stone**
With Porfido, Herberia expands the **Stone Lab** range, dedicated to surfaces that faithfully reproduce the aesthetic of natural stone.
A design approach that places material at the center of its most authentic expression, enhanced by ceramic technology to ensure high performance without altering its identity.
Porfido fully embodies this vision: a solid, technical and authentic surface capable of conveying the original character of stone in contemporary spaces.
#### **Discover Porfido and design outdoor spaces with character. A collection created for those who seek durability, aesthetic coherence and design freedom in outdoor environments.**
🌿 **Design your outdoor spaces with the strength of stone**
